The building

Collegio Don Bosco stands in the south-east area of Pavia, inside a building designed by architect Ottavio Bonomi and inaugurated in 1965 by the Salesian Congregation. Since 2023 the facility has become part of the system of colleges managed by EDiSU Pavia, thanks to significant ministerial co-funding under the PNRR initiatives, which made its acquisition and renovation possible.

The complex is spread across two buildings and offers a total of 95 beds, ample common areas and sports facilities designed for the everyday life of those who choose to experience university life at the College.

The rooms

The College provides 85 single rooms and 5 double rooms, all with a private bathroom and air conditioning. Wi-Fi connection is guaranteed in every room and in all common areas, allowing students to study and stay connected at any time of day.

Common areas

On the ground floor there is a spacious, fully equipped kitchen with electric and induction hobs, microwave ovens, an electric oven, refrigerators and dishwashers, as well as a dining hall also used as a breakfast room. For studying, two study rooms and an Aula Magna, also used for meetings and conferences, are available, while free time is spent in a lounge with table tennis, sofas and a television, and in an indoor gym. The College also has a laundry area, a garden with an inner courtyard, and an area with vending machines for hot and cold drinks and snacks.

Sports facilities

The College has a football pitch and spaces for five-a-side football, basketball and volleyball, available to all students.

Sport has always been an element that sets college life apart, offering an opportunity for socialising and relaxation at the end of a day of study.

Life at Collegio Don Bosco is not just about studying: sport, culture and socialising are an integral part of the college experience, in line with the tradition of the EDiSU Colleges of Pavia.

The College is located about 3 km from Pavia’s railway station: 35 minutes on foot, 15 minutes by bicycle, 15 minutes by bus or 10 minutes by car. Bus stops for urban lines no. 3, no. 3C and no. 2 are just a short walk from the entrance.

Indoor bicycle parking and a reception/porter service complete the amenities designed for everyday life at the College.
